OFFICIALLY ESTABLISHED

In 2023, JAPJAP Zero Waste was officially registered as a company, marking the beginning of its journey as a dedicated entity. The company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability was soon recognized when it won accolades such as the Upcycling Innovator Award and the Reborn! Upcycling Design Award. Additionally, it was selected as an awardee of the HKSTP Ideation Programme and the PolyU Micro Fund (2022-2023 Cohort 1).

BEGAN

JAPJAP Zero Waste began its journey in 2021 as a capstone project at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design. Initially conceived to address environmental challenges identified through research, the project evolved into a design initiative focused on tackling waste management issues. Following graduation, the founder recognized the potential of the project and decided to continue its development.
